The
word Ucluelet is pronounced “yoo-CLUE-let”,
which means “people with a safe landing place” in the language
of the Nuu-chah-nulth people.
The town of Ucluelet (pop. ~2000) is
located on the West coast of Vancouver just minutes away from Long Beach
and Pacific Rim National Park as well as the neighbouring community of
Tofino.
Ucluelet is nestled at the northern entrance to Barkley Sound,
a vast temperate rainforest area of breathtaking island archipelagos, deep
fjord inlets, rich biodiversity and an enchanting cultural history dating
back thousands of years.

partnered with an incredible variety of outdoor adventure opportunities
including hiking on the Wild Pacific Trail, surfing, beachcombing, wildlife
viewing, biking, and sport fishing as well as an impressive array of Westcoast
